Jelly Sandwich

So. I've been trying to get on the Jelly Sandwich wagon for some time...and I've finally gotten My paws on a jelly-ish polish. From Penneys or Primark, Angelica Hip Hop.

For 2.75e you can't really go wrong. It does smell pretty bad though.

I put base coat, one coat of Hip Hop, a layer of Leighton Denny Over The Rainbow.. and then. I loved the glitter far too much to sammich it.

Instead I added a matte top coat!

So....jelly to follow.

Thoughts?

Lucky Dips

So... I've always been slightly worried when hearing of websites doing lucky dips. Nails Inc. do this frequently alas, their postage to ROI is £12.95. It doesn't make you want to order....!
On my swap group on Facebook, I've been hearing about all wonderful kinds of websites and special offers. The latest was www.ravencosmetics.co.uk .
Here, for £10, you get a 3 polish lucky dip for Nails Inc. I have liked them on Facebook giving me a discount and all orders over £10 gets you a free 4ml also!
Here's what I got!

Montagu street, berkeley square, st. james and a mini emperor's gate.

I was delighted! No duplications and nice bright colours.

NOTD - Catrice Dirty Berry

I've long been a fan of Catrice cosmetics http://www.catrice.eu and nail polishes and today; had a little splurge in my local pharmacy. They have a lovely stand there which doesn't seem to get too much traffic! This means goodies for me, of course.

I always find their polishes have a great consistency, and two coats is the most I've needed.

Dirty Berry 420 is a dusky purple colour with a silver gray gritty look about it. I liked it instantly but I reckoned it needed a little omph! I dared to delve into my stash and pull out my new, Nails Inc electric lane top coat.

Daring indeed ! Here is the before and after, what are your thoughts?

Beauty Balms

I swapped for a Figs and Rouge, Sweet Geranium; lip, face & body balm recently. It is light and sweet smelling. Having only used it on my lips so far, I am impressed. It claims to have 100% Organic status, with ingredients including: Parkii Fruit Butter, Rose oil and Geranium Oil.

I am a lover of organic, and natural products so this was an exciting find for me!

Does anyone else use beauty balms?

My first blog...

I have to learn to get into this lark! Welcome to Blogger, Gilly.

Blog 1 - my splurge in Boots on the way home from work today. I purchased some Barry M (new to this brand) and spending 9 euro gets me a free Limited Edtion Lipgloss.

So here is what I bought:

Nail Polish in Raspberry
Lip Lacquer Crayon in No. 2
Free Lip Gloss in Ble V

I have yet to try the lip items, but this is how the nail polish looks on my hand... adore it! It is a very rich and deep shade, I love good depth to colour!
