IsaDora Sugar Crush

Happy Sunday folks! :)

I am having a lovely lazy swatching morning and thought I'd share with you, these two beautiful polishes from the Sugar Crush collection that were sent to me from IsaDora Ireland for review.

I showed you all the colours here in a previous post.

First up I have Coral Crush and WOW this polish is a stunner. It's coral with pink and golden sparkles which makes it such a great colour for summer and the beach! I only needed two coats, the application is wonderful, almost opaque in one coat. Not only that, but it dries so quickly! I haven't used a top coat in these swatches. I know I will get a lot of wear from this polish in the hotter months.

Next up I have Pool Crush. I am a huge blue fan, and this one is a must-have for my ever growing blue collection. In the bottle there is a noticeable purple shift which sadly didn't translate onto the nail. Nonetheless, the polish is a stunner, two coats again and I love the deep blue sea look of it!

IsaDora is available in selected pharmaces and Debenhams stores nationwide, these polises are priced at  €9.75 each. I know I am going to be getting a couple more of these!

Models Own Splash Collection

Wow - there are so many new collections coming out all over the place this season! Models Own are releasing this colourful set: The Splash Collection. They will be available for purchase on their own website on May 13th, and in Boots stores from May 15th

L-R: Aqua Splash, Pink Paradise, Red Sea, Golden Shores & Mermaid Tears.

Models Own do claim that each shade can be worn alone, or over another polish as a top coat - they look quite like flakies to me!

What do we think?

Ruby White Tips - Shake Me, Shake Me Hard!

I love a good neon , and this polish is a damn hot neon!

Laura at Ruby White Tips recently sent me some polishes for review. I had to pick this one out first because it looks like creamy yellow ice cream in the bottle and it does not disappoint on the nails!

I used four thin coats to achieve this opacity, and you can still see a little nail line through. It may be best over a white base, though I don't mind a bit of VNL personally.

I must give the name on this a mention, it cracks me up! Shake Me, Shake me Hard - and I did, I shook the bottle hard before application!

You can find Ruby White Tips on their website here and on facebook here. I will have some more of these beauties to show you soon, so keep your eyes peeled!

Tip Top Beauty

Hello readers! :)

Work has kept me very busy in the last week.. so I've not had time to post at all.

Today I have two beautiful polishes that have been sent to me for review by Tip Top Nails. They are a South African based nail polish brand, and they have SO many products! Just take a look at their website here.

I will have more of their polishes to show you in the coming days.

First up I have Sitting Pretty; a really nice bright almost neon pink. Coverage was opaque in two coats, and the polish was really nice to apply. The brush is perfect for me; I prefer a small brush because I have tiny hands and it's easier for me to get the polish where I want it! You cannot see my nail line in real life, the flash shows it in the pictures.

Secondly I have Super Trooper - an aptly named Khaki Green colour. Not what I'd normally choose myself when buying polish but I do really like this colour on my pale skin tone. Again, two coats for even coverage and a lovely formula.

Overall, I am impressed with these polishes. They have a lovely formula, and I found the polishes to be well lasting (I used their own brand base and top coats).

You can check out Tip Top Nails on their facebook page too!

You can not purchase Tip Top Nails products in Ireland, though I am really hoping to see them for sale on our shelves in the very near future

IsaDora Sugar Crush Nails

Hello hump-day readers!

Have you been loving the texture polishes that we are seeing pop up everywhere in the last few months? I have been lucky enough to get my talons on a few brands including; Barry M, Zoya and Seventeen..We have a new one to the fold which I am so excited about; Sugar Crush from IsaDora!

Consisting of ten shades, IsaDora say "The polish has a matte finish which looks and feels like crushed sugar".

L-R Diamond Crush, Purple Crush, Pink Crush, Candy Crush, Love Crush, Coral Crush, Sky Crush, Ocean Crush, Turquoise Crush & Pool Crush.

Loving these names, and, from the swatches above; Coral Crush, Ocean Crush and Turquoise Crush are really speaking to me! I see a hint of glitter in these - making them both different to other sugary textures I have seen, something between Kiko and Sally Hansen Gem Crush.

As with all IsaDora nail polishes, SUGAR CRUSH is also free from formaldehyde, camphor, toluene and DBP!

Widely available now across Debenhams stores (Blanchardstown, Tallaght, Limerick & Rushmere), and selected pharmacies nationwide. RRP €9.75.

Will you be partaking in the sugar crush rush?

Mavala

During the week I received a lovely sample pack from Mavala.

I have been buying Mavala polishes for years, going back to my teens. Mavala is available in loads of pharmacies nationwide in Ireland, in Debenhams and on their website, and on their UK website. You can also find their products on BeautyBay , FeelUnique and LookFantastic.

Last year Mavala celebrated 50 years - I can't believe this brand has been going since 1962. Originating in Switzerland, the brand found it's fame in Paris; the mini polish was and has since been their main market. For me, mini polishes have numerous positives (while I know some ladies don't agree!) You can bring them on holiday or you can test a colour without having to purchase a full size in the event that you won't like/use an entire bottle. They are also super cute!

I received a 50ml tube (full size) of their hydrating hand cream which contains collagen. I am a big big hand cream lover. I have 4 on my desk in work and a box at home that I rotate on my beside table regularly. I was really excited to try this cream and have been applying it a few times daily since it arrived. This cream is "especially developed for dry, damaged and sensitive hands" ... it smells amazing. It has a powdery scent which I find really comforting.

The texture of the cream is as described in the accompanying leaflet
"leaves a non-sticky and non-oily film to protect your hands against outside damaging elements". It absorbs really well into the skin and your hands feel moisturised without having that greasy feeling that some creams leave.

I know I will be using this cream quite a bit and a re-purchase will be required!!

I received three polishes in a little box to complete my sample pack; Stockholm, Soho and Purple Glitter. I will show you Soho first.

Soho is a pearly lilac, and required two coats. Not a colour I usually choose, as pearly colours are pale on my pasty skin though I did like the application of the polish which was of a good formula without glooping or running. Soho is topped with a coat of Seche Vite.

I topped Soho with Purple Glitter; which I really liked, It was packed full of glitter and I only needed one coat! I really like the combo, and have kept it on for a couple of days

You can find further info on Mavala's products which include nail and cuticle treatments, thinners, oils, polish removers and pens, manicure accessories and creams on their website, and those selling them; listed above. I am dying to try their penetrating nail hardener which was designed in 1958! It was the first of it's kind developed in the world.

Do you own any Mavala products? Let me know in comments! :)

Illamasqua Collide

It's the weekend! I love weekends, and today I spent a lot of time gardening, starting off some vegetables, and soaking in the bath for an hour. It was heavenly.

I have today, such a fun polish, and my first Illamasqua to try. Wow do I love this pink! It is Barbie, girly, bright, summery and sure puts a smile on my face.

I used two coats to achieve this opacity, though I did have a VNL so perhaps layering over a nude or a white polish would really make this one pop.

I. Love. This. Formula. I don't think I've used a formula quite like this one; it's just the right amount of thickness to glide easily no the nail, no running and no glooping - just wow.

Thanks for reading today - you can get Illamasqua directly on their website, or on the Debenhams website.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Bondi New York

Just recently, in 2013, Bondi New York has launched with some beautiful new polishes.

All polishes are 5 free, and profits for these heavily pigmented polishes go to a non profitable organisation, supporting charities across the USA.

Bondi were very kind to send me a polish to review.

Chasing sun is a fantastic bright orange, with wonderful pigment. I would have gotten away with one coat, I used two for the pictures. This is not a colour I usually go for but I really liked it - it has great depth to it's pigment.

You can find Bondi New York on their website and keep up to date on their facebook page
